What players think
The recurring themes across 208 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I’ve been playing Desktop Fishing since release, and after writing a first review with under 10 hours of playtime, I thought it was time to update my thoughts after almost 700 hours.
Edit: As per the dev comment in response; the changes have made it considerably more of an idle game, with only "new" and chests causing a complete stop to gameplay until interacted with - much better though there's still work to do to make it more balanced long-term for those going for all achievements etc.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and is not shown.
