I would like to give the developer the highest praise for the boss battles, for Zexion is a solid case where the creator understood that just locking you in a room is something that becomes old the more games you play, so plenty of times you will be surprised by a twist that will change the boss in some meaningful way or a a seamless transition to a cool story/action sequence.
The boss design is very varied, with some cool visuals.
Thankfully, for all that the game tries to be difficult at times, it has a full range of accessibility options you can optimize for your specific needs.
standard issue glaze incoming btw, the sound track, and visual design of every area is incredible, and while there are a few i dont really like (stinky bug swamp) every area is unique, interesting and paired with a sensational sound track. every area is fun to explore, even the water levels are fun and interesting. there is a stealth section that is kinda meh, but it gets better with specific upgrades.
The world map is fun to navigate, well designed, and each area is able to stay memorable despite the maps overall size.

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
