With excellent graphics and animation; a stellar hip-hop soundtrack, a high skill ceiling, and hilarious opportunities for player expression, Beatdown City Survivors takes what you already love and makes it something you can really sink your teeth into.
So far, I think its integration into every aspect of the game, from item descriptions, to the diegetic progression and level selection built into your home base, is the strongest yet.
That game had some hilarious dialogue and a long development cycle as things got to be right-sized.
