What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
First, i can't get over how much faster it is to load. it is like 10x AOH2 and the overall gameplay feels less of a "map painter" and more of a simulation. 14000 or so provinces are very nice for building weird alt history countries like if poland did a mustache man. the added religion and auto features really tie the tie for me, but i still think there are some issues to be addressed.
While players searching for advanced graphical presentation may find the visuals relatively simple, the design serves gameplay effectively.
Multiplayer is also still quite annoying, implementing a functional system where multiple players play at the same time instead of steam remote play having to spend 50% of the time just waiting, know this would def make the game very popular.
The result is a strategy sandbox built around freedom of choice, historical experimentation, and global domination where nearly every campaign evolves into its own alternate version of world history.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
