Rekindled Trails

While it’s not a game for everyone, Rekindled Trails does string together just enough systems to make itself into an engaging experience for those who love exploration and gathering.

In between the great writing, the actual gameplay mechanic that takes you from one part of the story to the next is basically a series of fetch quests.

Inventory management is actually fun for the first time ever and the economy system makes my inner capitalist pig squeal.

The main reason for that is the lack of some very much needed QoL improvements, but before getting to them I will say the art and soundtrack are on point, no complains with them.

Rekindled Trails relies on soft lighting, gentle palettes, and environments that feel intentionally sparse—empty houses, abandoned farms, crumbling paths.
