What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Finally, once said story has been finished, whether just the initial 'get to the end' run or to go for the full completion of collecting all 240 gems spread throughout each of the seven worlds, one can also spend some time enjoying the Time Attack mode, which is really there for the more experienced of players to fully test their platforming and everting skills against the best, as it's a fine balance between straight rushing towards the goal and everting only when critically-needed to get past obstacles as well as gems themselves that cut off half a second each towards the counting timer.
Eversion started out as a free online game, then implemented to Steam with HD graphics and new updated features.
• Fun mechanics to explore the game with, through this game's unique gameplay via 'everting' into different universes of the same stage that remain the same structure-wise but change every-so-slightly platform-wise to add to it's puzzles (+)
I love the graphics of Eversion, and I love the soundtrack when it's not trying to be scary by tempo shifting a previous song or replacing it with just a heartbeat.
Finally, the game has controller support, so grab your Xbox 360 controller if you have one!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
