The story is engaging and as you play through the game you really get to know each of the characters and you really care about them and become invested in your newfound role in the Unavowed.

The creative team on this is full of Wadjet Games veterans, so they bring the creative vision, from character acting to sprites and backgrounds and portraits and the soundtrack, to life.

While Unavowed follows traditional point-and-click conventions—exploring environments, interacting with objects, and solving inventory-based puzzles—it distinguishes itself through meaningful player choice.

Lighting, color, and environmental detail work together to create a moody atmosphere that reinforces the game’s themes of hidden danger and quiet melancholy.

I wanted to say "holds the bar", while, in fact, it raises it by allowing you to choose two companions for every mission, out of a diversified roster of four.
