Star Traders is an engrossing and highly detailed sandbox simulator that's grabbed my attention in the same way that the original version of Sid Meier's Pirates did back in the 80s, when I was still playing on the C64.
Serious care has gone into designing literally hundreds of different symbols for the various talent abilities used in ship and crew combat.
There is some fun here, the story is great, but it is an incredibly difficult, frustrating, and repetitive game.
I think that Basic or Normal are the best difficulty levels to start on, and Challenging/Demanding the most satisfying one you know what you are doing.
