The interface is certainly.... rustic, owing to the game's window's 95 origins, but once you figure out which menu contains what command, it's not too hard to figure out how to interact with the world, and there's even a helpful built-in Windows 95 style help system that even seems to open the appropriate entry at times (for example, when I had my first combat encounter it opened up to the combat section when I clicked on it).
