Overall this is a great title full of non-stop action that does have a short run time if you are only in it for the main story.

The graphics in this game is its second best feature, besides the gameplay.

The sound design works well, but the “Animal Crossing” style of sound-based voice acting can get tiring.

The soundtrack is eclectic but consistently good to bop along to, the level design seamlessly blends pinball table features into the game world, and the secrets are at a great difficulty to reward exploration without being impossible to find.

The joy of Yoku’s Island Express lies not in combat or high stakes, but in the sheer pleasure of movement—rolling, bouncing, and soaring through each gorgeously designed section of the island.
