Gameplay leans closer to a Balatro-style deckbuilder while still feeling very original, and the light-hearted humour sprinkled throughout is a perfect match for the generally whimsical vibe of the game's hand-drawn art.
I've gotten a much better handle on the multiplier build ups and getting broken exponential setups going over time. really appreciate some of the inventive way cards shift from act 1 to act 2 and minor lore bits and character shifts to characters are hinted at by designs alone.
enjoyable lane mechanics and good amount of card variety. the enemy health starts going up fairly exponentially, so be sure to build up some viable multipliers early on. rather enjoy the art style and cutscenes in between areas the first time you progress through that area.
8/11/25 UPDATE: I just want to update my review to appreciate the soundtrack a lot more, it's such a fun jovial and jaunty vibe and very standout distinct.
