What makes MySims so unique is its creativity driven gameplay, you don’t just decorate things, you build everything yourself, piece by piece, using block based constructions that feel almost like digital Lego, crafting furniture, designing interiors, shaping entire neighborhoods... everything you create directly affects the town’s atmosphere and the villagers who live there It’s a relaxing, pressure free experience where your little world slowly grows thanks to your own imagination, the villagers are still as goofy and over the top as ever, each one is like a walking cartoon stereotype, and even after all these years they still manage to make me smile with their personalities and ridiculous requests, doing quests, unlocking essences, improving relationships, it’s simple, but it’s charming in a way very few games manage today !
It complements the creativity first style of the original MySims really well, giving the bundle a nice sense of variety, technically, this re release does exactly what it needs to do, the visuals stay faithful to the original art style, but everything is much sharper and cleaner than the Wii version, the game runs smoothly, the cartoon colors pop nicely on modern screens, and the PC controls are straightforward and comfortable.
I can't speak for the keyboard and mouse controls brcause I'm almost exclusively a controller play girlie, but controller controls (lol) are a little weird to get used to at first, since they're adapted from the Wiimote controller and nunchuck style.

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and are not shown.
