Some okay level design, decently designed mobs, and a great combat system are bogged down as the short 7 Level Campaign goes on.
The gameplay is pretty fun when it does work, but frankly, the game is too short to justify the amount of troubleshooting it requires.
If you like what you see, this game is fun in solo play and in coop.
Cost gripes aside it's a fun game that has multiplayer (local and online) as well.
The cute, anime, pixel art may not appeal to everyone, but I really like the art style and character designs.
And the voice acting, which is entirely in Japanese, sounds good enough to my non-Japanese ear.
