Visually, the game embraces a 16-bit art style that is both nostalgic and full of personality.
There aren’t a lot of negative points to JumpJet Rex, and while it could do with a bit of polish, I think what is offered currently is extremely solid if you’re into fast-paced platforming with a winning aesthetic and a ton of replayability.
Complementing this is a wonderfully catchy chiptune soundtrack that perfectly matches the game’s rhythm.
A few plot points come up as you progress, but the story doesn't really carry through or pertain to the game.
Play with a controller, warm up and then attempt the star you want to get.
I've played this game in Co-op with my Brother and we really enjoyed it.
