But wait there’s a few characters in here right just like old meat boy?
The Gameplay of SMB 3D is honestly fine (if you see people complayning about depth perception you can turn on settings that draw a line under Meat Boy making it clear what he is above of during platforming).
The visuals of this game are ok.
levels are pretty good and feel great to blitz through thanks to the snappy controls and satisfying sound effects when you splat against a wall and launch off of it. bosses are unremarkable though, but still an improvement over super meat boy's bosses, which isn't saying anything given those were almost all absolutely atrocious.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
