SanctuaryRPG: Black Edition

The premise itself is standard, but there is enough depth to the ways one can create their own character builds that make each new game exciting.

The combat is easy to learn and get into so starting fresh never feels like too much of a drag.

This is the most striking aspect of SB, as it uses keyboard symbols as the basis for all the game's visuals, which is called ASCII art.

The screenshots give a good idea of what this game looks like (though, there are some very nice pieces of art that one gets to view as they progress through the story).

It sounds more refined than old-school beeps and boops, but it still makes use of simple sound effects in order to compose the numerous songs from the game.

For those who prefer something of the old flavor, however, they'll find hours and hours of joy in this game, with its gear crafting, development, combat depth, character customization, and more.
