What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The presentation is superb, the theme is fantastic, and the story itself is excellent.
The meta-progression is fine for this kind of game, but the actual unlocks are completely absurd, with the typical one being a 2% increase in this or that - I can imagine how disheartening it is to be struggling against the game for so long that you keep accruing levelups, but the unlocks are so pathetic that they're not exactly encouraging you to keep trying.
My rig can run BG3 fairly smoothly so it should be able to handle a game with 2D graphics and match 3 mechanic.
- Excellent sound effects and sound design
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
