This game reminds me of asteroid, well chatting with the dev the whole graphic side is inspired by asteroid so that means it plays out wholly in wireframe style graphics art of yer olden days games.
Just like a good soundtrack to a movie, you don't sit in the middle of the scene shouting how great the orchestral score is, but you become immersed and let it flow through the environment.
Varieties of customizable gamemodes, and solid hardcoded game modes give exceedingly more and more gameplay to experience.
The controls are very easy to learn and it supports my Xbox One controller (I am a console gamer mostly).
