Obviously, that's just how it is, all novelty fades, but the base gameplay loop isn't fun enough to sustain the goodwill you got from all these delicious promises of happiness.
I love the art style - very whimsical, fairy-tale vibes; each town and dungeon is unique; and NPCs are memorable (don't miss the Dungeon Meshi easter egg references!).
The sound design fits with the art style well, although the music can get a bit repetitive.
