The Warlock of Firetop Mountain

It modernizes the combat by using a simultaneous turn-based combat system instead of using decisions or dice like a traditional gamebook would, has 15 characters to choose from (each with their own nicely-crafted miniature), and has quite good 3D graphics.

The gameplay is fun for the first few hours but quickly overstays its welcome once you learn the combat system and want to skip ahead to certain points of the game.

Most characters' stories have been interesting enough to keep me going through the Mountain over and over again.

The character figurines are very detailed (whether they're playable characters or enemies), the rooms get furnished and populated as you open their doors like someone's dropping the elements from above, and there's even an omnipotent Dungeon Master.

I will not spoil anything , however , my advice for those who have not played the FF game books before , keep the unusual things you find if possible ;) The Graphics and art are really cool , imagine a tabletop game where the figurines are alive !

The music is nice and fitting to the game's themes, the sound effects are like a mix of cartoony and exaggerated board game foley; it's a good mix for getting into that CYOA feeling.
