What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There are a lot of characters, and you can expect ~15 per movie, and a bonus one for watching a trailer, as well as a few vehicles (~5 per movie).
Despite this game's liberties when it comes to slapstick jokes & non verbal storytelling (excluding the iconic opening text that for a non native kid like i was, could as well be replaced by Lorem Ipsum for a for a identical experience), i still adore how well they captured every major scene in the movies and translated them into gameplay.
Though the graphics are dated, I'm glad that they kept that older, less detailed style because it really brings me back to that era of games where everything looked so blocky.
It might be a lot more fun with a co-op partner, but I've never had that privilege.
This was before LEGO Batman 2 introduced voice acting and honestly, I kinda prefer it this way.
I do wish all the Lego tittles had a proper multiplayer built in, but sadly they don't.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
