Funny thing - I went back and looked at my review for Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, and noted a few things that seem to have made it into this game.
Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition brings the classic match-3 RPG back with a few quality-of-life tweaks and slightly refreshed visuals.
The gameplay is a modified version of match 3 with the different colors of items you’re matching being mana, and every time you match something you gain mana of that color, which you then use to cast spells.
It's a perfect casual, save anywhere, highly addictive short burst, but easy to get back into, game that has become the mainstay on my Steam Deck when I only have a few minutes to play, such as in doctor's offices, waiting for shows or streams to come on, ect.
