What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It offers an open world for players to explore, tries to add a replayability factor by introducing unlockables as well as power-ups, and combines these with charming puzzle platforming sections.
Despite being from 2015, the game runs surprisingly well on older machines, like the 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium desktop PC with an Intel Core 2 CPU, 3070 MB RAM, DirectX 11, & a GeForce 9500 GT graphics card that I used.
When played purely for story and end-goal it'll clock in at around 3 hours play time, and while replay value is limited, completionists and explorers can expect more than 10 hours and achievement hunters (there are some pretty good achievements and one pretty annoying and very difficult one) can expect even more.
Switching between a gamepad and they traditional keyboard and mouse combination was also flawless.
The soundtrack takes clear inspiration from ambient music, with a light collage of electronic sounds accompanying you through all parts of the world.
I played this game entirely on the Steam Deck, and I’m happy to report it worked pretty much perfectly out of the box, likely achieving a Verified status when Valve gets around to it.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
