The game is fun with decent replay value, lots of upgrades and unlockables, and enough difficulty to make it fun but nothing your average gamer can't overcome. the only 2 bits of criticism I have is that the soundtrack gets old kinda fast (but I just throw on my own tunes or audiobook so no biggy) and that the game doesn't really have much/any kind of lore or bestiary.
