What players think

With that out of the way, the game itself is probably one of the best empires games they've made, close 2nd to DW7E in my opinion. the replayability of the empires games is something that keeps the game interesting with every scenario playing out differently, particularly when you have plenty of CAW's that are also available for download (and upload) too as well as custom scenarios and seeing other peoples vagabond units and CAW's in your game.
First thing to note is two main bugs that they will not fix, the main one being the game crashes when you alt tab, however you can avoid this by reaching the save screen which is safe to alt tab on, and also the main menu and various others but dont alt tab on the politics screen, or in battle. and there are also very very rare game crashes. at any rate, you can instant save with quick save in the politics menu just in case.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
