What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It boasts beautiful art, lovable characters, some great writing, jazz music, and quite a hefty playtime!
However, it does have a significant flaw: the actual gameplay.
Every case unfolds inside a dimly lit bar where secrets spill as easily as cocktails, and the soundtrack hums in the background softly.
The graphics are charming and the "puzzles" - pouring the drinks - is quite easy to master (although, amusingly, sometimes it's fun to be bad).
The score is perfect for the setting and vibe, investigating is fun in the middle where clues and connections are coming thick and fast, and I love the small touch that the speakeasy's menu changes case to case, which of course it would as war looms and your illegal bar has to make due with whatever supplies they can get ahold of.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
