The biggest difference is that, whereas the Bhaalspawn Saga focuses on story, companions and Forgotten Realms lore, Icewind Dale is a combat focused dungeon crawler built around a custom party.
The soundtrack is still excellent and fits the game's atmosphere well, but I found it less memorable than Baldur's Gate's music, particularly its iconic exploration and environmental themes.
Look at the precision of mechanics, gameplay agency, and extremely wonderful storytelling.
I wish they would have added more eye candy, particularly effects that might benefit from ray tracing garnish.
