What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
After playing through the normal campaign, I would have to say I wholeheartedly recommend this game - with a HUGE asterisk.
The graphics, while not photorealistic, are very good at conveying the sense of atmosphere and immersion.
This is because the characters model will adjust its gaze to look at things you can interact with, however if there is something non-progression related in front of or next to something that is, you can end up interacting with the non-progression focused item and not realise there is more to find, this felt a bit cheap when it happened to me.
Sound design is equally effective, using silence, distant noises, and unsettling ambient effects to create constant unease.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
