Meta progression is solid and fairly rewarding without reaching annoying levels of needing to grind for unlocks.
In general melee is just not fun to play, I really enjoy daggers and the up close and personal play style you can get in games like Hades but the game feels very under-tuned for melee.
It is not as bulky as hades ii but the graphics, progression, character variety and gameplay is absolutely amazing so far.
The soundtrack deserves a special mention too.
Steam Deck players: runs great.
