The presentation is very polished, the writing is clever, and there's some fun unique ideas at play here... but currently the game depends too much on randomness as you climb the difficulties.
The only way you can interact with these cards is by upgrading them, which from an initial glance sounds like an extremely limiting gameplay decision, but the game compensates for this by focusing its rogue-like elements on your character abilities.
The artwork and soundtrack were my favorite parts.
The writing is hilarious, the gameplay is unique, and the art style is phenomenal.
Played this on a steam deck for about 6 hours just to try all the characters and only watched about it recently before the game released, and wanted to try it out!
