Pathologic’s story takes place over 12 days, but the devs decided that you should be able to bounce around the days to make “corrections” to whatever decisions you did or did not make in order to progress the story.
After all, that makes it easier to justify putting a bunch of resource-hogging grass textures into Pathologic 2 and selling it full price as a new game.
Once you have mastered the hobo economy and optimized trading survival becomes relatively easy.
