This means you can prepare for almost each and every quest as well as you intend to, by grinding random events and encounters, before taking on the mini-bosses and the boss, and more significantly, you can come back to shops when you have scraps to trade with, instead of hit and miss with shop nodes on the primarily linear map of FTL.

I actually like this a lot more than FTL, it has hectic & action packed combat where you have to manage 5 individual vehicles at once instead of just opening and closing doors to manage oxygen or whatever.

Convoy is a fun game with a very rewarding core gameplay loop, and interesting/hilarious quest dialogues that make a lot of references to other video games and sci-fi shows/movies.
