What players think
The recurring themes across 187 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Looks like Into the Breach but combine that with deckbuilding elements from games like Slay the Spire and you get a enormous replayability.
The writing is a bit hammy/melodramatic (not bad at all just super dark), but the art, music, vibes are awesome.
+ The pixel-art graphics for units, cards, transitions and boss intro animations are superb, an obvious labour of talent and love
This is a game about freaky pixel art, knife-edge space combat, and an actually pretty respectable soundtrack.
It also feels like a lot of love was poured into the game, e.g. the fun little boss-intros, the starless chillin' thing when you idle in the main menu, etc.
It's good game for Steam Deck but I'm not sure I can recommend it.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and are not shown.
