What players think
The recurring themes across 37 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Great retro aesthetics and gameplay, spooky athmosphere, a soundtrack that sounds reminiscent of the first Resident Evil mansion and all of this for free.
The sound design too is excellent, with the voice acting sounding surprisingly natural and the noises of opening and closing doors feeling one on one.
A fun fact about the art design, all of the graphics in the game are pictures based on a hotel that both Hyper Freeze and the developer took on a trip to Toronto in 2023 mixed in with a lot of pixelation over top.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
