One Turn Kill

Your deck being your "energy" is a very refreshing take on the "Slay the Spire" type card gameplay, and led to a lot of interesting deckbuilding and in turn decisions that made the whole experience very enjoyable to play.

I've focused on the unique and interesting mechanics, but the soundtrack has ~5 incredible tracks, the story is predictable but charming, and the art direction and animations are .

The soundtrack supports this tone with energetic yet unobtrusive music that maintains momentum without distracting from strategic thinking.

Each fight is against a character that as they get stronger gain abilities of their own which they activate after a number of cards played (Or in one case there's actually a real-time component) However the very interesting difficulty system does allow you some flexibility in what order to unlock things.

I was drawn in by the art style and other reviews talking about the "twist".

Rather than easing players into gradual power curves, One Turn Kill challenges them to solve tightly constrained combat puzzles where success hinges on precise sequencing and an intimate understanding of their deck.
