rodina has, for lack of a better term, resplendent vibes. the writing is top-notch on its own -- it pivots from interesting worldbuilding to absurd satire to drama to love and back again. i would say that it could be ripped out of the game and repurposed into a novel, but the beautiful orchestral soundtrack elevates the whole experience into something that has to be played. it's amazing.
Combat is really fun, I think the dev was inspired by older shooters.
I know the plan is to add NPCs eventually, and I'm excited for that, but I *love* those moments where you're drifting in space and it's just you and the soundtrack, which is phenomenal btw.
Don't let the low res graphics put you off, Rodina is absolutely worth every penny!
