What players think
The recurring themes across 205 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
It's very relaxing to find the frogs, and the art style is just so incredibly cute and cozy.
There are localized sound effects in certain areas, another cool detail that makes this game stand out in its genre.
The only thing I can think of that would make me enjoy this game even more would be more interactivity and sense of progression - like if you could unlock the "under construction" entrance or the locked doors after finishing something else or finding the right item.
(+) Nice achievement support with optional tasks, and not too difficult to finish everything.
One thing that I liked specifically, instead of individual levels, you essentially get one huge background with various buildings you can enter, giving it a feel of a "continuous world", with the frogs portrayed as if they are in a middle of their daily routine, making the game feel like it's populated by active characters, even though it's mostly static with occasional 2 frame animations.
My toddler and I had a great time playing it together on the Steam Deck, with him tapping the screen and helping me search for all the frogs.
