What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Now that I am older, I actually understand the story properly, and I can clearly see that the entire plot is literally held together with duct tape.
The controls and input detection still feel clunky (I played with a controller), and the graphics still feel like something out of 2005 (although I understand the novelty of sticking with an older graphical style).
The sound design remains one of the game’s strongest elements—the melancholic score by Angelo Badalamenti, known for his work with David Lynch, perfectly complements the story’s blend of noir melancholy and supernatural unease.
Can playable in SteamDeck but need a lot of controller customisation.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
