What players think
The recurring themes across 261 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I will also say that the ending sequence is... kind of annoying, given that you have to do everything in one go *and* some of the puzzles need to be done before others... for a game that was pretty good about not making you redo too much it stands out like a sore thumb and with how easy it is to softlock yourself, felt like I spent way more time here getting got by gotcha traps than I should've.
The style, the music, the theme, and the gameplay are so obviously crafted with love and passion, with a focus on making the experience accessible and fun for all players. ekorz made the intentional choice to include photo-sensitivity modes, and a color deficiency mode so that people with different needs can enjoy the game.
I will also be buying the amazing soundtrack to support the composers and musicians.
Ultimately, Chroma Zero is a confident and thoughtfully designed puzzle game that prioritizes player-driven discovery over accessibility.
