I check out this game every couple of months or so, and it's always seemed like it is progressing nicely around a real solid gameplay core.
Finally I want to address the story and world building, which I also think are extremely well done.
Black Ice is a fast paced, cyberpunk, "Shoot & Hack" action FPS/RPG, made by a brilliant programmer!
Multiplayer is fun (Oops, we all hacked a building at the same time).
Black Ice doesn't require the latest hardware, either, and is a completely awesome game, in which you are hacking in cyberspace with visuals that might remind you of Tron or something else, depending on your settings.
I will say, while there are a lot of accessibility options which is very commendable, if you're prone to seizures I'd still recommend skipping this one, lots of flashing colors and trippy fx/sfx. even with the anti-seizure mode turned on.
