It's still a fun game that I'm enjoying returning to in order to finish the optional quests and missions, but like I said, it's also apparent where improvements and polish was added to the gameplay and Fox engine before TPP was released.
It looks and runs fine on integrated graphics including the Steam Deck and after playing so much TPP, it's actually kinda neat to come into an area that I don't have memorized and be able to put familiar gameplay skills and mechanics to work exploring a new area.

However, unlike TPP, there is a dedicated hard mode to each mission, where you are only given a tranq gun, far less ammo for it, and guards have an increased vision cone and just about everything: Big Boss's health, tranq/knockout time, etc, are all halved.
