999 was a fantastic game, and one of the best visual novels I've played for its unique atmosphere, memorable characters and twisted story, and fun puzzles.

It's an innovative staple of Zero Escape, and I know the formula was used in the AI Somnium Files games (which are GREAT GAMES by the same creator; go play them now, please!) GAMEPLAY This may have been my favorite part of the game.

The soundtrack is pretty enjoyable and fits scenes pretty well, although I wish they didn't reuse many songs from 999 and VLR.
