The CrossCode DNA is definitely here: snappy movement, readable combat, secrets, puzzles, clean feedback, and that “one more room” feeling.
While the premise sounds familiar at first, the game’s presentation, pacing, and gameplay systems quickly reveal a much more ambitious experience hiding beneath the surface.
I'm a huge fan of the art style, and the UI design is also super clean despite being pixelated.
I came in as a CrossCode fan, tried the demo for around 90 minutes, and ended up buying the Early Access version plus the OST because I wanted to support what Radical Fish is building here.
Runs great on Steam Deck and there are sliders in acccessibility options to make aspects of combat easier if you want it which is nice at times.
