It is a lot less like Metal Slug in both gameplay and graphics than it first appears.
Graphics - Good.
The each area has its own music track and the sound effects add to the game feel giving everything really good feedback.
Once I picked it up I had to play it all the way through, and once I got an ending I had to do it all over again with NG+.
Just wanna add it runs great on the steam deck, very stable 60 fps.
