What players think
The recurring themes across 64 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Now that I have done a complete run on one of the characters in the game, I feel like I have enough time put into the game at this point to be able to put together a decent review like I initially set out to do.
The big thing that keeps you playing for more runs is the meta-progression system that is in place.
One of the fun aspects of this game is that after every boss fight, every player in the lobby will be put into a PvP brawl (kind of like Castle Crashers after the bosses with princesses if you have ever played that).
Underrated co-op roguelike.
One thing that really gave me a bit of nostalgia in this game was how the bosses are handled in the selection screen, but also from the sound effects that play when you first encounter a boss.
I want to shout out the art style in particular, which I find very charming in its chibi-fied way, evoking a lot of my memories of Dreamcast games.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
