There's a real sense of progression here, on no less than 4 fronts: your get better at the actual twitch gameplay, you can buy and pick up game-specific boosts as you progress, you can purchase permanent power-ups that improve your character permanently for each new game; and best of all, once you clear a floor's boss you can start the next game from the next floor down.

The co-op mode successfully recreates the feeling of classic couch multiplayer arcade games, where teamwork and shared panic become part of the entertainment.

Very retro graphics with real nice bright fruit and other item pickups.

This game has a level of difficulty to it and provides a nice leveling up system with permanent and temporary character upgrades.

Developed by Confused Pelican and published by Curve Games, the title feels like a celebration of old-school arcade design built around nonstop combat, fast reactions, and addictive score-chasing gameplay.

The soundtrack is fairly retro dark electronic sounding, which is good, although possibly noticeably repetitive at the start.
