What players think
The recurring themes across 168 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Entertaining paths, branches and story, cool battles, smooth gameplay despite the abundance of enemies!
Events are just random little side story things that can mostly give you items for free so long as you have the required skill level, stats or sometimes trivia knowledge, most of them are generic but some of them are references that are sometimes very on the nose "defending some hobbits from a demon called Balrog" but there's one mayor flaw with these events, they are ALL 2D ink on parchment style, which isn't bad by itself, but the fact that there are in-game full color graphics of the events makes it horrible.
The maps and spacing of levels are well designed, the enemies are interesting and many of them unique and the graphics are awesome!
my only minor complaint is having to take my hand off of the right stick which controls where you aim in order to push the Y button for the special move I often forget I have, and the dash button in B on my xbox controller.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and are not shown.
