The Story is pretty Whatever and the Characters just weren’t that Entertaining compared to something like No More Heros and Killer 7, It is a fun take on the Romeo and Juilet but having balls to the walls Scifi but I was Kinda mentally checkout of the story almost half way through despite having pretty good presentation
The Gameplay is Pretty good but compared to NMH and Killer 7 it kinda shares similar flaws, Mainly with the Enemy variety being kinda lacking as the Zombies are the same mobs either with weapons or being afflicted with Ailments and the Bigger zombie threats with weakspots is where u see the most variety but at a certain point the combat just becomes trivialized when you have the rocket launcher, It’s same way with Side Rifts where you go threw dungeons, I like the Blood of using ult attacks to get health, The Boss Fights are the semblance of challenge you are going to get from this game they definitely overwhelm you but some can have Attacks that are near unavoidable, The Equipment system with the bastards and using badge to buff yourself is cool but I never found myself relying on it
Performance in this game is so strange and its hugest issue, but I feel like so much of it is because of Unreal Engine 5, as amazing as the engines utilities are(and believe it because lighting and a lot of this game look really pretty) its just a universally understood chugging engine, the newest update from Grasshopper fixed a lot of my problems thankfully, but even then, there are severe performance hits in places and I never thought once my frame-rate was normal, and had 2 or 3 crashes near the end of the game.
The voice acting is cheesy and sincere in the way a silly action movie with this kind of premise should be.
Graphics wise it's fine, and honestly i don't have any optimization issues during my playthrough, though it could use even more optimization for Steam Deck (I tried this game on it and it ran awfully, Don't get it if Steam Deck is the only system you have and plan to play this game).
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
