The new release has a lot of improvements to the graphics and FPS that I really appreciate, but I think an underrated aspect is the ability to switch to retro models and/or textures at any given time, even while in game and moving around.

Over the original GOG version that I did buy, I found the performance on this version much better on my Steam Deck, and of course it was easier to switch between my Deck and PC with the Steam version.
