One of the things I love most about a new Far Cry game is the exploration; getting to poke around a rich, vivid, exotic and imaginative play area.

The overall story is good and easy to understand, but I do feel that certain elements could be told a bit better, and certain aspects of the story more expanded upon.

The subtle lighting effects from the day/night cycle are great - but there's a wide halo around buildings and other moving objects where you can see that the post-processing lighting filter isn't being applied.

I love non-violent games, serene post-apocalyptic settings (I've been planning in my head my next game for the last few years and it shares just that, although I probably will never get to do it), the soundtrack is quite beautiful, the main character model is good (her outfit reminded me a bit of Nadia, for anime fans), but the rest is so basic...

The climbing requires no button inputs aside from pressing up or down on the controller, all the ledges are clearly visible and evenly spaced, and you can’t fall off or die in any way.

Some of us actually like zoning out (in a good way) to very simple games like this, and the lack of combat is a plus for times when you don't want to focus too hard on the game play.
